Fall Sports Updates

Football: On Friday night, the Varsity football team played strong throughout but just ran out of gas in the 2nd half. They lost 14-33 to Guilford Park Panthers. JV Football lost a tough game against Glenelg last Monday. The final score was 40-0. JV plays Guilford Park on Monday, September 22nd at 4:30. We would love to see some fans in the stands!

Field Hockey: Varsity Girls lost to Mt. Hebron. They have away games with Reservoir on Monday at 4 and Howard on Wednesday at 6:30. JV tied 0-0 v. Mt. Hebron.

Boys Soccer: Varsity lost to Marriotts Ridge 3-2 in OT; defeated Mt Hebron 1-0 (Goal by Ravi Tuscano). JV boys soccer tied vs Marriotts Ridge 0-0, and won vs Mt Hebron 2-0 this week. JV soccer is having a great start of the season!

Girls Soccer: Varsity defeated Marriotts Ridge 2-0, tied Mt Hebron 1-1. JV won both their games.

Volleyball: Varsity was 2-0 this week defeating Mt Hebron and Marriotts Ridge.

Allied Soccer: Hosted Centennial in a tightly contested match!

Cheer: Cheer team performed at the Varsity football game this week.

Cross Country: Congratulations to XC for a great Saturday at the Bull Run Invitational at Hereford HS. Girls finished with an impressive 2nd place team performance lead by Captain Alyssa Mattes who placed 1st in the Girls Varsity Medium Schools division. Boys Varsity and JV also ran well for a 2nd place overall team award. Captains Noah Levy and Lucas Chiang placed 9th and 12th respectively in the Medium Schools division. Notable finishes in the Open races include Neo Cheng who came home with the 2nd place award for the boys. And for the girls, Sujin Kim, Jocelyn Ming, and Doris Ji placed 7th, 14th, and 15th respectively.

Senior Sunrise Donations Requested

Senior Sunrise is on Friday, October 10 from 6:30–7:30 AM on the blacktop by the tennis courts. We need your help to make it a great start to the Class of 2026's final year!

We're looking for donations of nut-free breakfast food and volunteers to help us run the event smoothly.

Friday Night Lights

Whether you are headed to a big game or out with friends for the evening, don't forget to stop by RIVER HILL GRILL any time 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Fridays during football season and a portion of all proceeds will be donated back to RHHS Boosters. Don't miss out on this Hawk-tastic fundraiser. We'll see you at the Grill! The RHHS football game will be live streamed when available.

Wednesday, September 24th from 5-7pm, will be a Boosters Swag Pick Up Night at the River Hill Grill. Stop by the Grill, enjoy half priced bottles of wine and dinner and then use your swag bag to bring home your leftovers. We hope to see you there. Look for the Boosters table outside of the restaurant.

Clarksville/River Hill Community Day

Join Boosters at the inaugural Clarksville/River Hill Community Day, co-hosted by the River Hill Community Association and the Fifth District (Clarksville) Volunteer Fire Department. This event will take place on Sunday, October 12, 2025, in the parking lot of the Ten Oaks Ballroom (5000 Signal Bell Lane, Clarksville) from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Community Day builds on the fire department’s annual open house and brings together neighbors, Howard County agencies, and local organizations for a day of connection, celebration, and shared purpose. Highlights include:

Fire safety demonstrations and rescue gear displays

A kids’ combat challenge

A free plant giveaway

On-site flu shots

Local creations, crafts, and treasures for sale

Boosters will be at the event to engage with the community.  Spirit wear will be available for sale and Boosters members can pick up their swag.

Driver's Ed

RHHS Boosters partners with BOTH premier driver's education programs in our region - Street Smarts of Maryland and Greg's Driving School. Both schools donate to Boosters for every student that enrolls in their program.  Not only will each registered student receive a first-rate driver's education, but each enrollment will be helping to support Boosters and our school community.
