River Hill Lacrosse Parents

You are invited to join in with the ever expanding group of River Hill parents of both varsity and junior varsity lacrosse players. We have been meeting since the fall, working together to make the program at River Hill a success for our sons.

Just some of what we have accomplished so far includes the purchase of new game jerseys and shorts, the production of a preseason player publication and purchase of parent apparel for all of those who are interested.

More importantly we are becoming a cohesive parent group, getting to know one another and the coaches. All this will make the upcoming season a success both on and off the field.

We still need your help. To raise funds to make this all possible we are offering each family the opportunity to participate by purchasing an ad in the season program for $100. If you have not yet done so you can send your check to:

Baltimore Thunder

Join the River Hill Lacrosse group to see the NLL Baltimore Thunder. Tickets are available for the Sat., February 27th game against the Buffalo Bandits. Come watch outstanding indoor lacrosse with some of the best lacrosse players in the country including league MVP Gary Gait, rookie goalie sensation Chris Sanderson, and Maryland alumni Brian Reese & Kip Faulks. The Thunder is 5-0 so far this season. Tickets are $10 per person. Please contact Teresa Rosas soon at 410-531-0635 if you would like to attend.

Season Kick Off Party

We are planning a kick off party for lacrosse players and their families on Saturday March 20th at 12 noon tentatively at the River Hill cafeteria. This will take place following the morning practice and all players and families are invited to attend. Varsity players please bring a main dish and JV please bring a dessert.

Senior Day

We would like to begin a tradition of honoring our Senior Class Lacrosse players and their parents. The final home game of the regular season is scheduled for May 11 and we would like a ceremony at half time. If you have suggestions or would like to help in the planning please attend our next meeting and bring your ideas.

Spring Break

If your son plans to play lacrosse please be aware that practices will be held during spring break. These practices are mandatory for varsity and all players are expected to attend. JV players will be invited to join the varsity practices. For more information contact Coach Bond.

Supervised Study

During lacrosse season the varsity will practice from 4 - 6 and JV from 2:30 - 4:30. Varsity players are encouraged to take advantage of study time from 2:30 - 4 in Coach Bond's classroom. In order to free Coach Bond to work on the field with the JV players, parent volunteers are needed to help cover these study sessions. Since this directly benefits both varsity and JV players, any parent who has a free afternoon is asked to participate. There will be a sign up list at our next meeting so bring your calendar. If you can't make the meeting but want to help, call Teresa Rosas at 410-531-0635.
