President: Chairs monthly General and Executive Board meetings. Provides leadership and support to various committees, as needed. Works closely with school administration.
1st Vice President: Attends monthly meetings. Supports president and committee chairs. Serves as president when necessary.
2nd Vice President/Freshmen Liaison: Supports 1st Vice President and President, promotes outreach to incoming parents.
Treasurer: Deposits all Boosters proceeds into the bank account, issues reimbursements and balances checking account. Works with Executive Board to develop with proposed budget for upcoming school year.
Recording Secretary: Attends monthly meetings, takes minutes and receives committee members’ written reports via email. Sends email reminders of monthly meeting to Executive Board, committee chairmen, coaches and team parent representatives.
Corresponding Secretary: Handles correspondence on behalf of Boosters. Involves buying/writing/sending greeting (get well or sympathy) cards on behalf of the Booster community; writes thank you notes to sponsor companies and special events supporters.
Membership: Coordinates membership drive, processes payments in database, updates committees and treasurer regarding volunteers and orders for Hawk Cards, Bday Hawk, and Hawk Walk.
Communications: Updates Booster website weekly, sending emails to committee members for Team/Club news. Works closely with Webmaster, President and school administration to optimize communication channels.
Webmaster: Maintains riverhill.org website, assigns account accesses and provides technical support to database users.
Birthday Hawk Handler: Posts wood hawk sign at school entrance on requested dates. Removes sign at dusk and stores when not in use.
Birthday Hawk Scheduler: Tracks incoming requests, communicates dates to Hawk Handler, and emails customers to verify details. Works with Membership and Webmaster to confirm paper and online orders. Reorders supplies as needed.
Concessions relationship manager: Maintains and trains volunteers in Board of Health compliance. Purchases food/beverages/supplies for sale in indoor and outdoor concession stand. (Volunteers from team parents.)
Concessions Assistant: Supports Concession Lead to schedule inventory replenishment, transport from indoor to outdoor, and train seasonal volunteers.
Dinner/Dance Fundraiser: Designs, advertises, and operates various fundraising events, involving Alumni & Parent community
Financial Assistant: Provides background research, history and administrative support to treasurer. Files 501(c)(3) documents.
Hawk Walk Coordinator: Markets personalized bricks for stadium flag court. Places orders with supplier and arranges installation before Homecoming.
Scholarships: Works with Student Services to advertise scholarships. Helps gather a committee to review applications and select recipients. Certificates are awarded at Senior Awards Night.
Spirit Central: Coordinates special recognition including decorations for Senior Nights, playoffs and pep rallies. Communicates information to team reps upon request.
Spiritwear Chairperson: Designs and orders inventory for on-site and web sales. Projects annual purchases and revenue, and schedules school-wide sales dates. Coordinates with administration/custodial staff for set-up location and logistics
Spiritwear Volunteer Coordinator: Recruits volunteers from Membership lists and parents interested in offering occasional support. Works with Spiritwear Chairperson to plan sale dates, including 1st Day of Fall Sports, Freshmen Orientation, Back-to-School Night, Parent/Teacher Conferences, and home football games.
Spiritwear Website/Marketing: Supports Spiritwear Chairperson and works with vendors to develop an online flier. Notifies staff, students and parent community of upcoming sale dates.
Sports Physicals: Coordinates annual event following April 1 start date for valid physical to tryout for any county sport season. Recruits and confirms physicians, nurses, Howard County Hospital and other volunteers. Advertises event online and in print.
